Itinerary
As the night sets in, depart from Delhi around 9:30 PM in a comfortable AC vehicle. En route, stop for dinner at a quality roadside restaurant. Overnight journey to Shimla.
Travel through Kufri and Narkanda along the scenic Indo-Tibetan Highway. Enter Kinnaur Valley via the iconic Kinnaur Gate, a rock-cut tunnel that serves as the gateway to the region. Continue to Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border, known for its pristine beauty. Arrive by evening, have dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay in Chitkul/Sangla.
After breakfast, begin your journey deeper into the Himalayas. Drive through the Ka Loops to reach Nako, visiting the peaceful Nako Lake. By evening, arrive in Tabo and visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, a spiritual and architectural treasure. Dinner and overnight stay in Tabo.
Enjoy breakfast and set out for Dhankar Village. Explore Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. Continue to Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. Check in, relax, and stay overnight.
Post breakfast, drive to Hikkim, home to the highest post office in the world—mail postcards to loved ones. Proceed to Komik, one of the highest motorable villages, and enjoy a meal at the world’s highest café. Then visit Langza, famous for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich mountains. Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the majestic Key Monastery, a centuries-old Buddhist learning center. Then, ride to Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge, suspended over deep gorges. Return to Kaza for dinner and an overnight stay.
Have breakfast and check out from Kaza. Travel towards Kalpa, known for its breathtaking views of the Kinner Kailash range. Arrive by night, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight
After breakfast, check out and begin your return drive to Shimla. From Shimla, board an overnight Volvo bus to Delhi.
